Tryouts: Friday, March 19th at GA Allstars. Rising 6th graders at 5p, Rising 7th graders at 6p, and Rising 8th graders at 7p. We ask that your cheerleader comes dressed in solid color shorts and tshirt (Red, white and Navy) with her hair in a pony tail. Please arrive in plenty of time to complete the check-in process. Returning Cheerleaders should bring ALL uniform items including shell, skirt, briefs, pompoms, practice shorts, backpacks, pullover, rain jacket, shoes, gloves, etc. for inspection. If we are unable to get all fittings prior to tryouts, we will continue the week after tryouts until all needs have been verified.

Announcement of 2021 MJE Cheer Squads: Selected cheerleader NUMBERS ONLY will be posted on the MJE Cheer website Saturday Morning, March 20th.

Cheerleader and Parent Meeting: Sunday, March 21st @ 6p (Mandatory Video Conference). Meet and greet with the 2021 MJE Cheer Squads and cover program expectations. Participation Information will be delivered to selected Cheerleaders Families.

Initial Program Payments Due 4/1: This payment will vary by cheerleader but includes all Program Dues and Uniform Components. GA Allstar Fees will be due at later dates through the year.

GA Allstar Initiation and Camp Fees Due 7/1: This will include the $50 Annual Admin fee for GA Allstars (waived for those already enrolled in other GA Allstars programs, and the $60 Stunt Camp Fee and the $85 Choreo Camp Fee

Stunt Camp: (Mandatory Attendance)Tuesday and Wednesday, July 13th & 14th, 9a-12p at GA Allstars. This is an opportunity for the squads to gel and begin to "flex their muscles" by learning partner and group stunts. Ideally they will have uniforms delivered the first day.

Choreo Camp: (Mandatory Attendance) Thursday and Friday, July 15th and 16th, 9a-4p at GA Allstars. This camp will be where the Squads learn and perfect their halftime routines, including custom cheers, dances, stunts, tumbling and pyramids. Cheerleaders will need to bring a lunch, snack and plenty of water. These will be physically demanding days and we ask that the girls refrain from attempting any other sports or social activities this week and get plenty of sleep.

Summer Cheer Practices: (Mandatory if in town) Mondays and Thursdays (Times and locations TBD). We will be learning the cheers as well as keeping the Halftime Routines fresh in our memories. This is especially important for first time MJE Cheerleaders.

Squad Sunday: (Optional but encouraged) Date, Time and Location TBD. This is a non-denominational faith based fellowship event for all cheerleaders and football players and their families, geared towards setting the right goals and team environment for the season.

GA Allstars Gym Fees: Each month, on the first day of the month, August through October, GA Allstars will automatically charge your card on file for the $60 Monthly gym fee. This membership allows us to have a safe, supervised environment for the squads to practice and perfect their Halftime Routines each week, as well as continue to improve on their Jumps, Tumbling and Stunts.

Cheer and Routine Practices: (Mandatory) Cheer Practices will be every Monday evening August through October at MHS (times TBD). Routine Practices will be every Thursday afternoon, August through October, 5p-6:30p August through October at GA Allstars. Both Cheer and Routine practices are mandatory August through October and absences will result in Demerits and consequences. Cheer is not a "bench sport". All members of the squad play an integral part and when one is missing, it prevents the rest of the squad from being able to prepare. Please see the Program Packet for details on Absences and Demerits.

Games: (Mandatory) Games for all squads are every Saturday September through November (Times and locations TBD by GMSAA in Late July). Regular Season, Playoff and Championship games are mandatory. Please block these dates off on your calendar now. Absences will result in Demerits and consequences. Cheer is not a "bench sport". All members of the squad play an integral part and when one is missing, it prevents the rest of the squad from performing and forces us to rework routines creating a risky environment for all. During the Season, Cheer MUST take precedence over all other sports and activities. Please see the Program Packet for details on Absences and Demerits.

Picture Day: Date and time TBD (likely before the first home game). Individual Pictures, Squad Picture and Cheer/Football team Group Picture will be taken. The Individual pictures will be used to create personalized banners for each cheerleader so attendance is Mandatory.

Spirit Week: Dates TBD. Spirit week is usually in advance of one of the home games. During this week, cheerleaders hand make signs at the Monday Practice and then Thursday go and decorate players mailboxes/doors (parent drivers will be needed that Thursday after practice for several hours) and the players provide the girls with a gift after the game. There are social activities, decorations, and lots of fun traditions. 8th Grade Cheerleaders are "Presented" on the field by the 8th grade players after their game and presented with a rose.

Banquet: 6th and 7th Grades usually have a casual joint banquet at the school, and 8th grade has a semi-formal banquet at Atlanta National. These usually take place in the first few weeks in December. While not mandatory, they are a great way to wrap up the season.

GO EAGLES!!!
